New to SafePrompt? Create a free Community account — no credit card, no sales call. You're placed on the Community plan automatically, and from there it's Setup → Download SafePrompt for a signed license and installer bundle scoped to your plan.
Want Professional or Business? Those are sold through our sales team so we can size seats and terms correctly for your team — contact us and we'll get you set up. Already a customer? Sign in to your dashboard and go to Setup → Download SafePrompt; the bundle you get always reflects your current plan.
What's in the download
- The agent installer (MSI on Windows, .deb/.rpm on Linux)
- The browser extension for Chrome and Edge, bundled alongside the agent
- A signed license file scoped to your plan (edition, device limit, expiry)
- The vendor's public verifying key, so the agent can confirm the license hasn't been tampered with
- An install script that runs the correct silent-install command for you
Setting up the browser extension
On Windows, the MSI installs the agent, starts it as a service, and places the extension files on disk automatically. What happens next depends on your plan:
- Community & Professional — after install, open Chrome or Edge and enable the extension from the SafePrompt tray icon's setup prompt (or
chrome://extensionsin developer mode). This is a one-time, one-click step; SafePrompt doesn't modify your browser's extension policy on a personal machine without asking. - Business & Enterprise — your IT admin pushes the extension automatically via Group Policy, Intune, or SCCM alongside the agent, so end users never see a manual step. Until the extension is enabled and connected to the local agent, browser-based coverage (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot in-tab) isn't active yet — the agent's own local protections (file scanning, local API) work independently of extension status.
